The invention relates to a vehicle folding roof with a roof apex (12) which is displaceably mounted via a driven carriage (17) on a guide rail (10) of a respective roof side spar (2) and which can be applied to a wind deflector (8) or the like in a closed position of the folding roof, wherein a drive member (40) displaceably mounted on the respective guide rail (10) is coupled to the carriage (17) via a coupling device (42, 43) which forms a rigid coupling during a longitudinal displacement of the carriage (17) in an open position of the folding roof and transmits a force-multiplied closing movement to the carriage (17) through a drive motion reduction on a final movement path when closing the roof apex (12).
