INTEGRAL-TYPE HYDRAULIC-MECHANICAL TRANSAXLE TRANSMISSION FOR DRIVING AND STEERING A VEHICLE

DRIVE November 21, 2001
Source
An integral-type transaxle apparatus (2) comprising a single housing (23) in which a pair of driving axles (40L, 40R), a differential mechanism (5) for differentially connecting both said driving axles to each other, a driving hydraulic stepless transmission (21) which fluidly connects a hydraulic pump (52) and a hydraulic motor (53), a steering hydraulic stepless transmission (22) which fluidly connecting a hydraulic pump (71) and a hydraulic motor (72), a mechanical transmission (6) for transmitting outputs of both said hydraulic stepless transmissions to said differential mechanism are accommodated, wherein at least one of said hydraulic stepless transmissions is disposed such that a rotational axis of a pump shaft (25 or 26) of said one hydraulic stepless transmission and a rotational axis of a motor shaft (54 or 77) of said one hydraulic stepless transmission are perpendicular to each other.
