Device for braking a rotor with respect to a stator
DRIVE
November 14, 2001
The system consists of brake discs (14, 16) connected to the rotor (10) and stator (12), and a piston (18) that moves between brake application and release positions and is normally urged towards the application position by a spring (20). The piston is located between two hydraulic chambers (22, 26) that are connected by a duct (38) fitted with a non-return valve (40) to limit fluid circulation from the brake application chamber (26) to the release chamber (22). The duct also has a restriction (36) located in series with the valve.
