  "textContent": "A photocatalytic titanium oxide coating composition is described, which comprises (a) finely-divided titanium oxide particles exhibiting photocatalytic activity, (b) particles of an inorganic compound other than titanium oxide, or particles of an organic compound convertible to particles of said inorganic compound on firing, (c) a binder, and (d) a solvent. The particles of the inorganic compound have an average particle diameter larger than that of the finely divided titanium oxide particles and falling within the range of 0.1 mu m to 1.0 mu m. The amount of the inorganic compound particles is in the range of 0.5% to 7% by weight based on the weight of the finely divided titanium oxide particles. By coating a surface of a substrate with the coating composition, a coating film exhibiting excellent photocatalytic activity and no interference color is formed.",
