"textContent": "An exhaust system for a turbocharged IC engine has the exhaust duct split into two parallel ducts; one duct containing the turbine (18a) of the turbocharger and the other (30) containing a preliminary catalyser. A common valve (36) regulates the relative gas flow to the two ducts and can shut off either duct in either end setting. The outlets from the two duct are combined into a single outlet duct and a coupling flange (26) to connect to the main catalyser (28). For additional control a second valve (37) can be fitted to the outlets of the parallel ducts.",
