A ventilating device (10) for the inside of a vehicle has: - at least one air outlet located on an instrument panel component (12) of the vehicle; - an air distribution system (14) for supplying the air to the air outlet; - a control device (16) to control the amount and temperature of the air supplied. The air outlet is designed as at least one outlet region of large area distributed on the surface of the instrument panel component with a number of small outlet recesses (26). The flow speed of the air is held so small that a diffuse and non-targeted air outlet results.
