V-type internal combustion engine with a transmission fitted to a rear of said engine, wherein an accessory means is attached to at least one cylinder bank on the rear side of said engine. Vehicle comprising a vehicle body and a V-type internal combustion engine is transversely placed in an engine compartment. A left cylinder bank is facing to the end side of the vehicle body, and said left cylinder bank is offset toward a front of the engine with respect to the right cylinder bank. A plenum chamber of an air intake means of said engine is disposed over said right cylinder bank. Said left cylinder bank and said right cylinder bank are provided with a plurality of intake ports of an air intake means of said engine. Said intake ports are lying in line between said left cylinder bank and said right cylinder bank.
