Method for preventing the overturning of a vehicle about its longitudinal axis

The method involves evaluating an indicator of the danger of tilting and if tilting is impending automatically initiating braking of at least one wheel. At least one wheel (4-6) on the outside of a bend is subjected to a braking force sufficient to prevent tilting while at least one wheel (7-9) on the inside of a bend is subjected to a lower braking force.
