This method is embodied in a system that includes an air induction body (10), a speaker (14) in proximity to the air induction body (10), a sensor (16, 27) for sensing a system condition, and a control unit (18) with a noise cancellation feature. The control unit (18) is in communication with both the speaker (14) and the sensor (26,27). Based upon the sensed system condition, the control unit (18) may disable the noise cancellation feature.",
