The guide is formed as a curved flexible strip (4) lodged under the seat in a vertical plane. Its bottom end is attached to a plate (8) that is fixed to the vehicle floor panel (3), and its upper end is fixed to a moving part of the seat assembly. The strip has at intervals raised sides (16) that face inward to retain cables fitted into the guide so the cables follow movement of the guide.
