Alcaline accumulator

The device has a housing (1) containing a wound electrode arrangement (2) in which the edges of the electrodes are joined to tapping plates (41,42) by laser welding. A number of laser welding points are arranged on most of the surface of the tapping plate with which an electrode edge is in contact so that welding points are present along almost all of the electrode's edge.
