DRIVE
October 4, 2001
A porous electrically conductive sheet, which (a) comprises a sheet composed of numerous carbon fibers being attached with an organic material, (b) has an electric resistance of 50 mΩ · cm or less in the thickness direction of the sheet, (c) has a maximum breaking radius of 25 mm or less, and (d) has a compressibility of 40% or less. The porous electrically conductive sheet is produced by (a) a sheet forming step of forming a carbon fiber sheet by scooping numerous carbon fibers dispersed in a liquid on a net, (b) an organic material adhering step of adhering an organic material to the formed carbon fiber sheet as a binder of the carbon fibers, (c) a drying step of the sheet having the organic material adhered thereto, and (d) a pressurizing step of pressurizing the dried sheet by plane press with a face pressure of 0.49 to 9.8 MPa and/or by roll press with a clearance of 300 µm or less.
