The device has an electronic sensing module per tire with an HF transmitter/receiver and at least one remote master transceiver device coupled to a microprocessor for polling the modules. A remote locking device that transmits a locking signal to the vehicle also transmits an activation signal to the master device, which polls the modules to ensure no signal overlap. A display is mounted on the remote locking device or an additional device. The device has an electronic module for each monitored tire with at least one integrated pressure sensor with measurement and control electronics coupled to an HF transmitter/receiver and at least one remote master transmitter/receiver device coupled to a microprocessor for polling the modules that drives a tire pressure status indicator. A remote locking device that transmits a locking signal to the vehicle also transmits an activation signal to the master device, which then polls the modules to ensure no response signal overlap. The display is mounted on the remote locking device or an additional device next to i. Independent claims are also included for the following: a remote control lock for a tire pressure indicator and a method of operating a tire pressure indicator.
