The wheel (1) has hollow spokes (4) arranged in a rim face (2) between air openings. The spokes have a core (6) of metal foam in the rim face. The rim face is connected to the rim (3) by friction welding between two spaced weld ring faces (7,8,7a,8a) of the rim face and the rim.
