  "textContent": "The invention relates to a device for operating a rechargeable energy storage (10), which is provided with: a charging module (14) for providing electrical power to charge the storage; a data acquisition module (22) which continuously acquires current operating parameters (U(t), I(t)) of the storage during operation; a prediction module (16) in which an adaptive model (20) is implemented which derives predictions about future states of the storage from data describing the state of the storage prior to commissioning and from data acquired during operation as well as optionally from additional expert knowledge, the model being designed such that it can be continuously self-optimized based on data acquired during operation as well as optionally based on additional expert knowledge; a data memory (24); and a control module (26) for controlling the charging module, the control module being designed such that it selects the current charging strategy for the storage depending on the predictions derived from the model and the currently acquired operating parameters of the storage.
