Low loss rectifier for polyphase vehicle generators
DRIVE
September 19, 2001
The rectifier for a motor vehicle alternator has a switching bridge (11-16) with modules (21-26) which compare a phase voltage (theta 1-3) of the alternator with a reference voltage (Ua,Umasse) and control one of the switches as a function of the result of the comparison. The rectifier has comparators and amplifiers (212,242) to compensate for the effects of the variations of a reference voltage. Each module has voltage compensators (212,242) which are different from the other modules.
