Automatic load sensitive brake pressure valve for pressure means actuated brake installations of vehicles

DRIVE September 19, 2001
Source
The braking pressure regulation valve (1) is pneumatically controlled, with a spring-loaded setting piston acted on by a pressure which is dependent on the loading, an angled control face (38) of the setting piston controlling a control rod (11) for the regulating part of the braking pressure regulation valve, which is switched between dynamic and static operation. A pressure-operated blocking piston (15), cooperating with a resetting spring (16), is used for fixing the setting piston via a friction coupling between cooperating piston surfaces (23,35).
