DRIVE
September 19, 2001
Aluminum and copper current collectors for rechargeable lithium batteries are treated with aqueous acidic or basic solution, or neutral aqueous solution and subsequently, the conductive mixture layer may be formed on their surface to increase its surface area and to enhance its adhesion property with active material layer. The current collectors treated according to the present invention make the rechargeable battery have a good cycle life and charge/discharge performance.
