A weatherseal (10) for reducing noise generation upon relative movement between the seal (10) and a panel (14) is disclosed. The weatherseal (10) includes a plurality of particles forming a surface (42) of a contact layer (40), wherein the plurality of particles has a multi-modal particle size distribution.
