Opening vehicle roof comprises at least one frame (20) holding a lid (11), a water collecting channel (22) arranged in the frame and open on its upper side, and at least one water drainage channel (23) connected to the water collecting channel. The water drainage channel passes through a cross support (18) of the roof falling in the direction of the windscreen between the water collecting channel on the front side of the frame and the upper edge of the windscreen and/or a cross support of the roof falling in the direction of the rear windscreen between the water collecting channel on the rear side of the frame and the upper edge of the rear windscreen.
