Passenger seat with safety means

Passenger seat (1) with securing devices comprises a seat part (2) and a back rest (3), and a seat belt (5) arranged on the seat and having a belt fastener (11) and a belt fastening part (12) for fastening around the hip region of a passenger. A belt whip (8, 9) is arranged on the seat belt in the region of the attachment points (6, 7) on the seat frame. At least one belt whip (8) has a seat belt band (10) with the belt fastening part and the other belt whip (9) has the belt fastener. In the rest position the belt whips are positioned at the side of the back rest and in the operating state are passed over the hip region of the seated passenger. Preferred Features: The belt whips are made from an inherently rigid flexible material.
