Door or analogous body part of a motor vehicle

The body part has an internal panel (5) with painted outer trim (2) fixed thereon by stamped rivets (11) or other fasteners. The inner panel preferably has an angled edge in one end area. A seal is provided between the inner panel and outer trim. The outer trim can project up and over the inner panel.
