The arrangement has two foot switches (3a,3b) on the platform of the lifting device that are operated in a different order to raise and lower the platform. A safety device is provided on the platform to prevent faulty operation of the dual-foot control in the form of a foot safety switch (4a,4b) between the two foot switches for deactivating the dual foot control.
