Low resistance high conductivity battery terminal

An improved terminal post assembly for low resistance high conductivity, lead/acid batteries is provided in which the conventional cast lead connector which connects the battery post with the terminal has been replaced by a prefabricated connector (200) formed of a material having a non-lead content of greater than 50% and a melting temperature of greater than 232 DEG C (450 DEG F).
