Locking device for a foldable vehicle cover

The closure system incorporates a locking unit with turnable hand grip (1), automatically moved out of rest position by depression of a push key (2). The grip has an anti-fold lock, to arrest it in operating position relative to its pivot axis (20), and detachable. In rest position, the hand grip is locked by a locking lever (3). The lever is operated by the push key to release the hand grip.
