In order to keep the installation space for the heating or air conditioning system as small as possible, it is proposed that at least a first partial air stream to be heated in the heat exchanger (22) flows through a first, associated partial area (22VR and 22VL) of the heat exchanger (22) in a first direction and at least a second partial air stream to be heated in the heat exchanger (22) flows through a second, associated partial area (22HR and 22HL) of the heat exchanger (22) in a second direction opposite to the first direction.",
