The part, includes a decorative component comprising a support (1) with an outer decorative layer (2), possibly coated in a heat cured layer, and a reinforcing structure (3) behind the support. Independent claims are made for: (a) a process for manufacturing the part in which materials for the decorative layer (2), heat cured layer and an intermediate layer are preformed as a thin flat sheet structure and bonded to the material forming the support (1) at 150-300 degrees C; (b) a use for the front component in electrical household equipment, furniture and automobile construction.
