Combustion engine with a split inlet conduit
DRIVE
June 20, 2001
The engine has a gas intake channel (4) opening into a passage (3), for each cylinder. The channel is divided by a dividing wall (5) over at least part of its length, into two part channels (4.1,4.2). At least one part channel has a groove-like profiling extending in flow direction. The dividing plane defined by the wall extends at right angles to the cylinder axis (6). The wall is a formed part of metal plate, and is fastened in the channel wall material by casting-in.
