Axle support for motor vehicles
DRIVE
June 13, 2001
The axle bearer (1) is in the form of a U-shaped hollow frame (2). It has a transverse tube (3) and longitudinal tubes (6, 7) with curved sectors (8). These have a filling of solidified foam (14) (polyurethane, epoxy or aluminum). The thinner parts of the walls produced during manufacture are thus supported internally in the curved sector.
