Membrane support for a brake booster and brake booster comprising same

Diaphragm support (18) comprises a central zone (40) fixed on an amplifier piston (14) and a peripherical zone (41). The part extending from the central part has two layered sheets (42,44). The diaphragm separates two chambers (20,24). When the braking pedal is actuated the plunger (26) goes further inside the front chamber (F1) and the acts on a disk which pushes the piston in the opposite direction (F2). The rear chamber is made in communication with the ambient air and there is then a pressure difference between the two chambers. Independent claims are included for manufacturing process and braking amplifier using the diaphragm.
