The device has data-transmitting control devices (1,2) coupled to a vehicle BUS (5). The control devices monitor data transmitted to the BUS that have not been transmitted through the control devices and prevent further transmission of these data. Preferably, the control devices transmit data with a control device or vehicle specific characteristic. The control devices may be connected to a driver door module (7) or may be a driving lock.
