The device comprises a housing (10) of molded plastic material having a peripheral wall (20) attached to a bottom wall (24) to define a receiving space for the envelope (12) of an electric motor (14), and at least one support lug (30) formed as an integral part and coming into contact with the envelope of the motor. Each support lug (30) is provided at least in part with an overmolded coating (38) of sound-absorbing material designed to constitute an interface between the support lug (30) and the envelope (12), which makes it possible to ensure low-frequency decoupling by the support lug and high-frequency decoupling by the overmolded coating. Application in particular to motor vehicle equipment.
