Child safety seat
DRIVE
June 6, 2001
A child safety seat has a bottom zone (16) adapted to rest on the vehicle seat cushion and guide surfaces (23) for engagement by the vehicle seat belt (22) for holding the child seat in place on the vehicle seat. Two rigid protuberances (26, 28) project downwardly below the bottom zone (16) at an intermediate location between on quarter and half way back from the front edge of the bottom zone (16). The area the protuberances (26, 28) in contact with the vehicle seat is less than 10% of the area bounded by the perimeter of said bottom zone (16).
