Windscreen wiper device

A windscreen wiper device (1) comprising an oscillating arm (2) and a frame (3) connected thereto for receiving a wiper blade (7), which device includes a life span indicator (9), characterized in that said indicator (9) is sensitive to water. The indicator (9) can change its colour in dependence on the length of time during which the indicator (9) has been exposed to water.
