The ventilation device has an air duct provided with at least one air exit opening (5), in the form of a jet or slit, for supplying air to the bottom of the automobile windscreen (2). The air duct is defined by a hollow part of the automobile bodywork, e.g. a transverse member between the side columns, which is supplied with air during the operation of the vehicle.
