Direct injected engine and method of operation
DRIVE

The combustion engine comprises a combustion chamber which is formed between the underside of the cylinder head (11), the upper side of the butt, and a cylinder tread. Two air inlet channels (15) with valves, an air outlet channel (16) with a valve, as well as two spark plugs (17) are provided in the engine. An approximately linear, upstream section of the air inlet channels has a slope with respect to the butt axis, which is larger than the slope of the injector to the butt axis.
