Actuator, especially for controlling vehicle rear view mirrors

The drive (1) has an electric motor (3) with drive shaft connected to a reduction gear driving an adjusting part. A connection plug is fitted into a plug shaft (6) integral with the drive housing (2). An additional strain relief element (7), not integral with the housing, is fitted into the shaft and locked with the housing. The element holds two or more supply and/or control lines (8) in an area away from the line ends, and holds these secure against strain. The element consists of two holder parts connected via a film hinge.
