"textContent": "London’s leading matcha brand JENKI relaunched its matcha bar at Selfridges London on Wednesday 29th April, marking a new chapter in its presence within the department store following its original pop-up debut in 2022. Positioned between The Foodhall and Beauty Hall on G, the redesigned space reflects a more permanent and considered expression of JENKI’s identity, translating the precision and ritual of matcha preparation into a spatial experience. “For us, it’s always been about doing the fundamentals properly – how the matcha is sourced, how it’s prepared, and how it’s experienced,” said JENKI co-founder Claudia Boyer. “This redesign was about making that process more visible, and giving it the space it deserves.” “Selfridges has been an important partner for us over the past few years,” she added. “It’s a space that really values quality and new ideas, and has allowed us to introduce a wider audience to matcha done properly. This next phase feels like a natural evolution of that relationship.” Designed by London-based designer Rain Wu, the bar brings the act of whisking matcha to the forefront.
