It's a weird crime idea that was originally comped as The Autopsy of Jane Doe meets John Wick, and that still tracks, but this version is more The Evil Dead meets John Wick.\n\nNot Evil Dead II, or Army of Darkness, or Ash vs Evil Dead, or Evil Dead Rise, or even the new one I haven't seen yet.\n\nThe Evil Dead. It's a weird crime idea that was originally comped as _The Autopsy of Jane Doe_ meets _John Wick_ , and that still tracks, but this version is more _The_ _Evil Dead_ meets _John Wick_.\n\nNot _Evil Dead II_ , or _Army of Darkness_ , or _Ash vs Evil Dead_ , or _Evil Dead Rise_ , or even the new one I haven't seen yet.\n\n_The Evil Dead_. Both the 1981 and the 2013 version, simply called _Evil Dead_.\n\nSure there's dark humor. Sure there's over-the-top violence. But there's also this frantic energy as each main character realizes they cannot sit around trying to figure out what the hell is going on, that they have to move, run, fight back, do whatever it takes to survive. They don't have time to figure shit out.\n\nWho cares what the fuck is going on when the beast is breathing down your neck?\n\nThose who don't like ambiguity in their horror will probably hate this idea, and that fuels me as well, perhaps the strongest motivator for writing it actually. I have no fucks left to give when it comes to writing. This is the story I want to write and if you like it great, and if you hate it then a piece of art moved you to that point, and that means you felt something.\n\nJob done.\n\nBut I still need to write it.\n\nI'm doing it.\n\npeace&love",
