Defence Minister urged to intervene after civil servants cut allowances to soldiers heading overseas

Around 10 soldiers are due to head to Germany at the end of May to train Ukrainian defenders - but they will lose some €8,000 in allowances that were paid to other Irish military personnel who have served on the same EU mission.
