  "textContent": "fediverse self-hosting\n\nStood up a GoToSocial instance as an ActivityPub server. GoToSocial is lightweight and sensible, but the lack of quote posts became intolerable. Migrated to Sharkey (a Misskey fork) which has a more feature-rich UI and supports quote posts. The fediverse is more fun than remembered — the culture is different from Bluesky, more conversational, less algorithmic. Still an AT Protocol person first, but having a fediverse presence alongside the PDS makes sense for reaching different communities.",
