Thursday Bolts: Bombs Away

After a slow start to free agency, the blockbusters are now flooding the league. There will be very little activity from the free agent market in Oklahoma City, if any. We'll be updating our Offseason Timeline and relaying the latest news, rumors, and analysis as the summer stays busy.

The news breakers are becoming even more transparent in delivering their scoops from agents' lips to our ears. This is would be fine (named sources > anonymous sources) if the reported details weren't becoming even more convoluted and dubious. Several deals are being framed as including "mutual options", which are prohibited in the CBA. The rest of us are guessing at the mechanics that might be in play, which could be cleared up by follow-up reporting or--God forbid, waiting to report until the details can be relayed accurately in the first place--that the Woj sector of scoop-feeders has never been interested in providing. Bombs away, I guess.

Thunder Bolts:

  • ICYMI @ Daily Thunder: Thunder re-sign Isaiah Hartenstein, and the reported details don't make sense**...** Thunder trade Isaiah Joe**...** Thunder Exercise Lu Dort's Team Option, Decline Kenrich Williams'... Thunder Extends Brooks Barnhizer a Two-Way Qualifying Offer**...** Dynasties Ain't Cheap: OKC's Cap Crunch**.**

  • Thomas Sorber underwent a knee procedure. He was already going to miss Summer League, and will resume basketball activities in four weeks.****

  • Branden Carlson is headed to Portland, and**** Ousmane Dieng re-signed with the Bucks. Maybe Branden will be a good influence on Ja.

  • Mike Brown leaned on Dillon Jones during the Knicks' title run
