U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that a peace agreement with Iran is expected to be signed on Sunday, describing it as a "wall to no nuclear weapon" that would immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Earlier, Iran's Foreign Ministry tempered expectations, with spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei ruling out a Sunday signing while leaving open the possibility of one "in the coming days."

The conflicting statements came after Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, whose country has played a key role in mediation, said an electronic signing was expected within 24 hours.
