"textContent": "\n\n\n\nState-run Pakistan LNG Ltd received five bids from global companies to import two spot liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes, according to information posted on its website on June 11.\n\nThe bids were submitted for delivery windows of June 13–14 and June 20–21.\n\nPakistan has launched its fifth spot tender as LNG flows have been disrupted by conflict in the Middle East. So far, only two spot cargoes have been accepted and shipped to the country—on April 30 and June 6—according to Pakistan LNG Ltd data.\n\nFor the June 13–14 window, three bids were received for a 140,000 cubic meter cargo: Vitol Bahrain at USD 21.9777 per million British thermal units (mmbtu), BP Singapore at USD 18.9868/mmbtu, and PetroChina International at USD 19.2/mmbtu.\n\nFor the second cargo scheduled for June 20–21, BP Singapore offered USD 18.9868/mmbtu, while PetroChina International Singapore bid USD 19.2/mmbtu.\n\nPakistan has also received three LNG cargoes from Qatar under long-term contractual agreements after a gap of nearly two months. In March, only two vessels arrived from Qatar, as LNG flows into the country were affected by developments in the Middle East, an energy ministry official said in April.\n\nPakistan typically imports about nine to 10 LNG cargoes per month from Qatar under long-term purchase agreements.\n\nLNG imports in the nine months ended April 30 fell to USD 1.884 billion from USD 2.917 billion in the same period a year earlier, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics released on May 20.",
