"textContent": "\n\n\n\nEleven Pakistani businesses have been selected for the 2026 cohort of the Climate Finance Accelerator Pakistan, a UK-funded program helping climate-focused enterprises secure investment and scale low-carbon solutions.\n\nThe announcement was made in Islamabad on June 8, 2026.\n\n#### What is the UK Climate Finance Accelerator program in Pakistan?\n\nThe Climate Finance Accelerator is a technical assistance program funded by the UK Government's International Climate Finance initiative.\n\nIt helps startups and growth-stage enterprises improve their investment readiness and connect with national and international investors. The program operates in ten countries and is delivered globally by PwC UK, with implementation in Pakistan carried out by DAI.\n\n#### Which Pakistani firms have been selected for the 2026 CFA cohort?\n\nThe 2026 cohort includes Go Seed IT Pvt. Ltd., Biowaste Energy Ventures Pvt. Ltd., Bioenergy Solution Pvt. Ltd., A.S. Enterprises, Trash It, Sahara Recycling Pvt. Ltd., Waste Busters Pvt. Ltd. and EnterTech Labs Pvt. Ltd., EcoEdge AI, Daewoo Pakistan Express Bus Service Limited, Buscaro Technologies Holding PTE Limited, and Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance.\n\nThe selected firms operate across renewable energy, sustainable transport, waste management, circular economy solutions, climate-smart agriculture, green buildings and financial inclusion. CFA Pakistan Team Lead Vardah Malik said the companies represent a mix of startups and growth-stage enterprises working on innovative solutions to Pakistan's climate and sustainability challenges. The programme will help strengthen their investment readiness, she added.\n\n#### What support do the selected Pakistani firms receive from the CFA?\n\nEach business will receive up to five months of tailored technical assistance, including support from financial experts and specialists in gender equality, disability and social inclusion. Participants will also present their projects to investors at a dedicated event scheduled for October 2026. British High Commissioner Jane Marriott said the programme is designed to turn ideas into investable projects while supporting jobs and long-term sustainability.\n\nSince its launch in Pakistan in 2022, the Climate Finance Accelerator has supported 22 projects and helped mobilise around US$40 million in investment. Globally, the programme has backed more than 230 projects and facilitated over US$500 million in climate-related financing.",
