  "textContent": "\n\n\n\nPakistan GasPort Consortium Limited (PGPC) has agreed to provide commercial support to the Pakistani government to help stabilize LNG supply disruptions, the company said in a statement on Thursday.\n\nThe government has requested emergency terminal assistance from PGPC to avoid costly liquid fuel alternatives and maintain stable grids.\n\nThe Pakistan GasPort facility is the largest liquefied natural gas terminal in the country. It operates a specialized regasification vessel at Port Qasim.\n\nThe facility began operations in January 2018. Since launching, the terminal has safely handled 367 liquefied natural gas cargoes.\n\nThis floating unit has a peak regasification capacity of 750 million standard cubic feet daily. State-owned Pakistan LNG Limited contracts 600 million of this capacity.\n\nA company spokesman said the terminal operates efficiently with low fuel retention and maintains competitive global toll tariffs.\n\nThe terminal usage will reduce national dependence on expensive liquid fuels. The cooperation will strengthen reliability across the national gas and electricity grids.",
