However, exports from the north fell sharply by 35.39% to 797,679 tons from 1.234 million tons in the same period last year. Total north dispatches grew 10.36% to 29.812 million tons.\n\nSouth-based mills dispatched 5.77 million tons domestically, up 5.56% year-on-year.\n\nExports from the south rose 11.31% to 6.81 million tons from 6.12 million tons in the prior-year period.
