Dubai Police set two Guinness World Records

Dubai Police achieved two new Guinness World Records during the Dubai Marathon 2026, highlighting the force’s growing reputation in sports, endurance challenges, and operational excellence. Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, received the certificates at the Dubai Police Officers’ Club, in the presence of Brigadier Dr. Jassim Mohammed Hassan, Deputy Director of the General Department of Training. The awards were presented by the team members who set the records. Coach Saeed Bilal set the first record by completing a 10-kilometre run while wearing a Taekwondo uniform in 48 minutes and 36 seconds, establishing a new world record in that category. The second record was achieved by a team comprising Second Lieutenant Hassan Bilal, First Sergeant Arif Abdul Razzaq, First Corporal Nabil Al Shami, and First Corporal Mohamed Sharif. The group carried a 70-kilogram patient on a stretcher over 10 kilometres in 56 minutes and 50 seconds, demonstrating teamwork, stamina, and efficient field response capabilities. Al Marri praised the record-setting participants, calling their performance a reflection of Dubai Police’s ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation. He said the achievements also underscore the force’s efforts to promote sports participation and professional development, while showcasing Dubai Police’s adherence to best practices in both operational and community engagement initiatives.
