  "textContent": "\n\n\n\nThe Emirates Red Crescent has contributed AED50 million to support the Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans under the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, according to the state-run WAM.\n\nThe initiative was launched by Awqaf Abu Dhabi under the patronage of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.\n\nSheikh Hamdan said the contribution reflects a belief that caring for orphans is both a national responsibility and a humanitarian mission that extends beyond borders.\n\nHe said the move builds on a culture of giving established by the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and renews the country’s commitment to humanitarian support.\n\nSheikh Hamdan also said the endowment reflects values promoted by Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, including compassion, dignity and social cohesion.\n\nAccording to Sheikh Hamdan, the initiative supports national efforts focused on families and children while strengthening partnerships to assist vulnerable groups in society.\n\nThe Emirates Red Crescent said the endowment aims to provide a sustainable funding source for orphan care, invest in their education and health, and improve their quality of life.\n\nIt added that the initiative seeks to promote charitable endowments as a tool for long-term development, strengthen social solidarity, and encourage broader participation in community support.",
