Lutnick at the Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C.\n\nThe Finance Minister was accompanied by Pakistan’s Commerce Secretary, Ambassador to the United States, and Trade and Economic Ministers.\n\nBoth sides expressed the desire to enhance economic cooperation, especially in trade and investment, and discussed the U.S. interest in investing in ICT, mining, minerals, and energy.\n\nFinance Minister Aurangzeb appreciated the role of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in organizing the U.S.-Pakistan Trade and Investment Forum on March 31, 2026, which will be attended by leading companies from both countries, along with ministerial representation from Pakistan and the United States.\n\nThe Finance Minister also expressed hope that the office of the U.S. Commerce Secretary would participate in the forum.\n\nBoth sides reiterated their commitment to further engagement on investments in major projects in the coming months.",
